Bob Dylan recorded a duet with Ralph Stanley on the Clinch Mountain Country CD. He's played bluegrass songs in concert, and his more folk-oriented music owes an obvious debt to the Scots-Irish folk tunes that were some of the building blocks of bluegrass songs.

The Country Gentlemen introduced Dylan's music to the bluegrass repertoire. When lead/tenor singer, John Duffey, left the band, he went on to form The Seldom Scene with Gents veteran, Tom Gray. To this day, both bands continue to include Bob Dylan music in their repertoire.
