Scholastic book orders are a great way to provide families with low-cost, high-quality books for the home, as well as earn points for teachers to earn free books for the classroom. Orders can be coordinated by the teacher or by a parent volunteer. Work is done outside the classroom, so this is a great role even for a working parent.
Obtaining Order Catalogs
The first step in organizing a book order is to obtain the order catalogs. Start with the grade level catalogs appropriate for the class. Scholastic offers the following grade-level catalogs:
- Firefly – Pre-Kindergarten
- SeeSaw – Kindergarten-1st grade
- Lucky – 2nd-3rd grade
- Arrow – 4th-6th grade
- Tab – 7th grade and up
In addition, Scholastic also offers Click catalogs for K-8th grade of computer software and gaming for kids. Finally, there are themed catalogs throughout the year with everything from back-to-school, various holidays and themes, summer reading and more.
