Anyone that has watched daytime television in Britain may be familiar with a myriad number of adverts offering the consumer the best deals in a number of items once they log on to the internet.

Take websites such as Confused.com for example, which gives the average petrol-head a list of cheap car insurance options but now also gives the consumer a list of internet tariff options, home insurance and mobile phone deals.

Then there is that MoneySupermarket.com advert, the irritating one with Peter Jones of Dragon's Den fame wheeling about in a supermarket trolley. If the advertised website does not help the viewer with the online shopping choices, at least they can get a carthartic thrill by throwing the remote control at the television screen.
